Erasmus+ supports mobilities for Czech students


Thanks to a grant received from the EU programme Erasmus+, a group of six students traveled in October 2016 to Rimini, Italy to attend a traineeship in local restaurants. Students gained valuable experience directly from Italian chefs. The students were divided in pairs in three restaurants, each with a different focus and specialized also a different kind of guests. The first pair learned to process fish and seafood, the second focused on vegetables and other ingredients for a quick lunch, and the third focused on Italian pastries and other parts of the breakfast menu.

In their free time, students were able to explore interesting places Rimini and its surroundings and enjoy the long sandy beaches.

Another group of students from the 3rd grade of the high school SPÅ  Otrokovice traveled in April 2016 to the Greek island of Samos. The students spent three weeks working with experts in a research institution named Archipelagos. Upon arrival, they met with an expert team from around the world, got assigned topics and projects that they have dealt with the whole stay.

The interesting tasks included dolphin watching on the boat, search of flowers around the island, bird watching using binoculars or searching for chameleons.

International projects financed by the Erasmus+ programme contribute to the improvement of school cooperation and they falititate new life experience for the students.
