County School Inspectorate of Iasi and 16 performanced and representative highschools of Iasi joined the campaign to support the municipality of Iasi in the race for the title of European Capital of Culture. We are glad that one of the 16 schools chosen is John C. Stefanescu Technical College, a partner of the ICT project.

General Inspector of I.S.J. Iasi and the directors of these schools have signed a collaboration protocol with the European Capital of Culture Iaşi Foundation and with the Iaşi City Hall at a public event, in officials presence, at the National College, on 8 October 2015. The timing is important, relevant to the role and involvement of Iasi highschools in community projects and also touching, enjoying a great attention from the ISJ Iasi management. The delegation of each school will be composed of teachers and students, the latter wearing each the school uniform, posed as a symbol of permanence, continuity of tradition and the specificity that gives personality to each school individually. The Iasi School contribution to the title of European Capital of Culture is and has to be remarkable, considering both its honoring history and the recent past that integrates the city and our county into an elite top through the results in national examinations, at Olympics and national and international competitions in science, art, culture, sports and technology. Signatory Institutions of the protocol assumes this project as a prority and beneficial common initiative for both Iasi Municipality and Iasi County, pledging to support the city's candidacy in various stages of preparation and promotion of the project.

The partners in the ICT project support Iasi in the race as they had the wonderful opportunity to get to know Iasi during one of the transnational meetings in the project.
